In the afternoon, take a ferry** across the Bay to visit Robben Island, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the historic Robben Island's prison before returning to Cape Town. Travel to Johannesburg

Depart your lodge and journey toward Johannesburg. Take a scenic drive through Pretoria, South Africa's administrative capital, renowned for its tree-lined streets and historic landmarks. View the Union Buildings, the official seat of government; the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square with its historic architecture, and the many jacaranda-lined avenues that give Pretoria its nickname, the "Jacaranda City." Soweto Tour

Today, explore Soweto, an important historical neighborhood in Johannesburg. Drive by the former residence of Bishop Desmond Tutu and visit Nelson Mandela's former home, with its expansive multimedia exhibits outlining his life. Continue to the Apartheid Museum, where you will journey through the racial segregation experienced by millions of South Africans. Tonight, at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager.
